We held our Snail Racing evening on the 17th March at the Railway Bowls Club in Kirkley, and what a night it was.
Jim & George were on fine form and everyone joined in with bidding on the totes and throwing the dice. Snail number 1 won 2 races and number 2 won 2 races.
Everybody pitched in and brought something for the buffet and the finished spread was amazing. The raffle was a hugh success and raised £115.00. A rocking horse was kindly donated and was auctioned off to raise £28.00.
Everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and laughed alot.
Our next event is a Quiz Night on the 7th April also at the Bowls Club, teams of 6 or less are required and entry is £3 per person to include a finger buffet. Tickets can be obtained from Ina in class or from me at the details on the right.
